« Le Gabriel »

The Association's newsletter was launched in 1989. In September 2009, after a few years of absence, it reappeared and was named « Le Gabriel » in honor of our first ancestor in North America, Gabriel Gosselin (1621-1697). Thanks to the initiative of Mr. André Pageau, our members were able to benefit from this communication and exchange tool which is essential to the survival of our Association.

For subsequent editions, it was with great pleasure that I accepted the new challenge to become the editor. I am currently in the 9th edition for which I am very proud. I hope that its contents, whether the articles on history, the short biographies, the information on activities or achievements of our Association, and will generate great interest on the part of the large and beautiful Gosselin Family.

We want this newsletter to be a unifying element for the Gosselins, for ALL the Gosselins, this is where your precious collaboration can help. Please let us know everything about Gosselin in your neck of the woods, whether they be activities, awards, memories from the past that have been told to you by grandparents or other older relatives, and funny stories are welcome.

The newsletter is sent free of charge to all members in good standing four times per year. All editions are available in the member-only section of the website.

In order to preserve the heritage of the Gosselins, The Board of Directors had all of the 'old newsletters' along with the new generation 'Le Gabriel' bound together and donated them to the David Gosselin Library in Saint-Laurent, Ile d'Orleans. These are available for research during library hours.

Looking forward to hear from you,

France Gosselin
