FIGURES FROM YESTERDAY AND TODAY

Portraits of Yesterday and Today throughout St-Laurent, I.O. written by Canon David Gosselin in 1919, and translated in 1987. This book contains very important and interesting information about the origin of Gabriel Gosselin in Combray, stories of Gabriel's arrival on Ile d'Orléans, Québec (Nouvelle France) and descendants from his first son Ignace who lived in St-Laurent, I.O.

Some historical errors were corrected and annexed to the book. The book sells for 20$ plus shipping expenses.

GOSSELIN COLLECTIONS

For several years, the Gosselin Family Association has been eager to obtain books and the various writings dealing with Gosselin or written by Gosselin, to enrich our collection dedicated to Gosselin in the David-Gosselin Library in Saint-Laurent, Island of Orleans. These works can be consulted on site when the library is open.

Collection books regarding Gosselin

Thus, if you have books written by Gosselin; or you are a Gosselin author; or you have books regarding anything Gosselin; we will take good care of it if you donate it to us. These Gosselin works will thus be protected for future generations.

We are also eager to preserve musical works composed, performed or sung by Gosselin. Gosselin musicians give us a copy of your works for preservation (whether 78, 33 or 45; CD, DVD), we will keep them carefully at the library Saint-Laurent, so that your talents will be known by Gosselin and other future generations.

Book CLÉMENT GOSSELIN by Gaston Deschêsnes

At the unveiling of the plaque in honour of Clement Gosselin, June 18, 2022, Gaston Deschêsnes launched a biography entitled Clément Gosselin, maitre charpentier, espion et soldat de la Révolution des États-Unis. His book tells the story of Gosselin, his espionage missions and the last years of his life.

The book is on sale at the MAISON DES AIEUX in Ste-Famille, I.O. It can be ordered from the publisher, the Société d'histoire et de généalogie de la Cote-du-Sud, La Pocatière, 418-856-2104.
